“Next year will be better” is something we often tell ourselves during a string of hard times. For me, 2024 was a year of extremes—experiencing both the lowest of lows and the highest of highs. I endured the passing of my dad while discovering the life growing inside me. I went from facing stressful financial hardship to having more money than I’d ever had before. We got out of debt and finally started investing. Brian and I had difficult conversations within our marriage and with family members to recalibrate and align on a vision for our family’s future. I also did deep personal work to break through my own barriers.

While I like to think some years are better than others, I’ve come to realize that most years are a mix of ups and downs—it all depends on how we relate to them.

Now, as I’ve finally found a groove in life after my dad’s passing, moving home to Tacoma, and being a working mama at a new brokerage, I’m preparing for another big transition: becoming a working mama of three. Our oldest lives with her mom, Maya is in school full-time, and baby girl #3 is set to arrive in February.

With January’s theme of Renew & Thrive, I’m taking this time to reflect on how I can recreate and expand myself to support a life bigger than I once imagined.

As a real estate broker, I help buyers fulfill their dreams of homeownership or build wealth for themselves and their families. I also support sellers in achieving their goals, whether that’s selling their home or navigating the process of selling a parent’s home. While I find my work deeply fulfilling, I’m also committed to providing value beyond the transaction. That’s why my team and I have given our newsletter a major makeover.

We’re being much more intentional about the content we share, including fun and meaningful additions like Feng Shui tips, recipes we love, and share-worthy content I personally enjoy. Our goal is to bring value to all aspects of life, not just real estate.

And as if that weren’t enough, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my passion project: The Homebody Experience—a podcast and series of in-person events. I share more about it in the newsletter, but this endeavor is for me and my peace of mind.

How am I going to do it all? With help from my family and my team, with a baby nursing in my lap, and with the support of modern technology.

With all of that being said, we welcome 2025 with open arms—and hope that we can be a part of your year in one way or another.

Cheers!

Ranny
